NFL power rankings: Texans inch closer to top-four team by USA Today
On a six-game win streak, are the Texans among the top five teams in the NFL entering Sunday afternoon's bout against the Raiders?
Week 15 was pure chaos. Let’s dive into where all 32 teams stack up after 16 weeks in this latest edition of the NFL power rankings.
The Arizona Cardinals suffered another blowout loss on Sunday. This time, it was not to an NFC West opponent. It was a 40-20 road loss to the Houston Texans. They have now lost six games in a row and 11 of their last 12. And in new NFL power rankings for Week 16 by USA TODAY's Nate Davis, they have fallen, which is understandable.
Following a 34-26 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, the Denver Broncos are now ranked third in Nate Davis' latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That's up two spots from their No. 5 ranking last week. Here is Davis' commentary on the Broncos going into Week 16:
Each conference will have seven playoff teams: four division winners (No. 1 through No. 4) and three at-large teams, called wild cards (No. 5 through No. 7). The division winners are ranked by best record to worst and will each host at least one playoff game.
Alabama will make another case as 'NFLU' in the 2026 NFL Draft. Ty Simpson, Kadyn Proctor and two others make USA TODAY Sports' top draft prospects.
